The Thanksgiving meal is over, and now it’s time for the high calorie and sugar filled treats at holiday parties and the office. The daily temptations that the season creates are everywhere, you are safe, but you can position yourself to win.
The holidays are a time to over indulge with delicious foods and alcoholic beverages. The penalty for holiday indulging is the extra weight.
Most healthy-weight people gain a few pounds over the holidays will shed them almost immediately. But the two-thirds of Americans who are overweight put on several extra pounds per holiday — and they don’t take them off.
Before the real office party season ramps up, here are a few tips to help you stay on course:
- Keep to a healthy, moderate way of eating, and then add in a little exercise.
- Take healthy snacks to work, this will prevent you from eating office treats. Remove the temptation.
- Eat healthy foods before attending parties. Arriving feeling full to the party will limit how much of the wrong foods you can eat.
